Revealing a very peaceful village in Hoa Binh that very few people know about!!

Here, you'll find streams, waterfalls, and stunning pristine locations that only the local people can show you 🌿🌿

📍The place I visited is Ban Buoc, Xam Khoe Commune, Mai Chau, Hoa Binh.

This village is primarily inhabited by the Thai ethnic group, and the locals here are very friendly and sincere 🥰

🚘 For transportation: I took the Mạnh Kiên limousine service, costing 250,000 VND for a one-way trip 🌿

🏡 For accommodation: I stayed at La Maison De Buoc, a homestay surrounded by greenery. The room I stayed in was 800,000 VND for 2 people. The room was clean, and from the homestay owner to all the staff, everyone was very enthusiastic and lovely. The homestay also has two adorable dogs. I might be praising it a bit much, but I must say the food here is delicious, made with fresh, home-grown ingredients and local Thai specialties.

🌿🌿 The places I visited:

📍 In the afternoon, I strolled around Ban Buoc, learned about the traditional weaving craft of the Thai people, then visited the stream and terraced fields in the village. The scenery, with terraced fields on one side and the stream on the other, was breathtaking.

📍 The most impressive spot on this trip was the Heart-Shaped Red Stone, about 7 km from Ban Buoc. You’ll need to walk and trek through the forest for a bit, but the view is worth it. The stone has a heart-shaped depression, and from this viewpoint, you can see the entire village from above. Standing on such a huge rock feels truly magnificent. Indeed, the more you travel, the more you realize how many beautiful places Vietnam has!

📍 The next day, I visited Pu Waterfall. To get to the waterfall, you should hire a local guide because it’s not on Google Maps (around 300,000 VND for 3 hours). I was guided by Mr. Luc from the homestay. The waterfall is about 5 km from Ban Buoc. To get there, you need to ride a motorbike to the foot of the waterfall; the path can be muddy and slippery due to the rain, so it’s a bit challenging. After that, you’ll walk through the forest for a while to reach the waterfall. Walking in the cool, lush forest was very refreshing. After about 15 minutes, you’ll arrive at Pu Waterfall, which is pristine and majestic. You really need to get close to fully appreciate its grandeur. Just letting your feet follow the water’s flow and listening to the gentle sound of the stream and rustling leaves in the wind is so relaxing. No wonder people love trekking and seek nature for healing.

=> In summary, this is an ideal spot for a weekend getaway. My 2-day, 1-night trip cost 1,600,000 VND 🌿. This place is perfect for those who want to find freedom and reconnect with the magnificent, pristine nature. If this fits your travel style, go for it ❤️❤️❤️
